A city surrounded by towering mountains on one side, and the expansive Gulf of Oman sea on the other. But natural beauty is only one of the reasons to visit Muscat. A culture rich in history and tradition is one to explore in attractions such as the Mutrah Souq and learn more about at the Bait Al Zubair and National Museums.
Other attractions include the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House which emphasize the country’s attention to detail in the Islamic and Arabic architecture. Visitors can tour these sights and in the case of the Royal Opera House, purchase tickets for a performance.
Tourists can also visit the various malls spread across Muscat, including the Avenues Mall, The Grand Mall, and City Center Muscat. Or relax in the capitals largest park; the Qurum National Park.
